The owner of this forum, Colette, is battling cancer.
My own mother battled cancer. My grandmother battled cancer and won. I'm sure you all know someone who has fought the battle.
My daughter's TROUPE organization at school turned me on to this wonderful spring thing they for the American Cancer Society.
In honor of Colette and her son Sammy, I would like to post this here and have Daffodil Days at The Skinny Cook.
Thank you all for taking the time to read this and putting it into your prayers for consideration. Any donation, no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated.
I love you Cozy and have you constantly in my prayers ...
As the first flower of spring, the daffodil is a symbol of hope. To the American Cancer Society, it represents the hope we all share for a future where cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease. You can provide hope to all people affected by the disease by participating in the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days. To raise awareness and funds to help fight cancer, simply click on the map below, and select the Daffodil Days campaign near you. Cassi....thank you soooooo much! Speaking for all cancer patients (if I may be so bold) thank you!
I'm learning so much about this disease, which has taken so many people that I love. I plan on giving cancer a fight! You prayers are the winning shot in the battle...I love you sister...all of you!
I'm feeling pretty good today, went to the oncologist for my first consult. I start chemo in 3 weeks...I'm ready to start the fight!
My weight is down to 187.8 lbs...sorry girls, I cheated the last 30 lbs or so....NOT the way I wanted to do it! I'm only abut 50 lbs away from my original WW goal.
Take care and I'll check in as my energy level allows. Cassi, the site looks GREAT! Thanks so much for doing this! I love you sister!
Blessings.....Colette
