Here are some great ideas for using Fat Free Yogurt in new ways. I gleaned these from other message boards...great ideas and something we can all use! Colette
1. To make a cream cheese substitute, place a coffee filter or piece of cheesecloth inside of a strainer and set the strainer into a bowl. Add fat free plain yogurt to the strainer, cover and let it drain overnight in the fridge. In the morning, you'll have a cheeslike substance you may use in dips and spreads, in place of cream cheese.
2. For a great Core or light Flex breakfast or snack, add a little Jello Sugar Free Fat Free pudding mix (cheescake flavor is amazing! ) to plain ff yogurt. Stir and let it sit a moment..add Splenda if desired. Enjoy!
3. FF plain yogurt mixed with Splenda and fresh or frozen mixed fruit and berries makes a delicious fruit salad.
4. Use FF plain yogurt in place of mayonaisse or sour cream in salad dressng recipes.
5. Mix FF plain yogurt, a tiny amount of skim milk and sugar free or regular bbq sauce for a great southwestern salad dressing.
6. Add FF plain yogurt to your morning smoothie! It adds protein and one milk serving. Delicious!
7. Freeze a tablespoon of flavored ff yogurt between 2 half sheets of a low fat cinnomin graham cracker for a low fat ice cream sandwich. Be sure to count the crackers for Core.
