My middle child, Zach has ADD. We are choosing to treat with Medication. He is on Straterra 25mg daily.  He is also behind developmentally from the rest of his class. We figure he is about 6-8 months behind. Which is ok. This time last year he was 2 years behind. Due to the No Child Left Behind Act, the class that Zach would be in no longer exsists. That is a complaint for another time.  He is out of the regular class room most of the day for reading, Math and Speech. Zach does get a somewhat lighter seatwork load than the regular students in his class but becuase he does go to the other special classes, he has to work twice as hard. The Rest of the class has 10 spelling words a week and Zach has 5.  This week's spelling test, Zach got 100 percent on! He has some hearing issues and speech issues as well as ADD issues. 5 words are the Max for him. normally, he has only gotten 2-3 words right on his tests and this week we got all 5 right! I am so proud of him.
