Artichoke-Crab Spread


1 can (14 oz) artichoke heart quarters, drained and chopped
1 pkg (8 oz) fat free cream cheese, cut into cubes
1 cup shredded imitation crabmeat (4 oz)
1/2 cup grated fat free Parmesan cheese
4 med green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
48 slices (1/2 inch thick) French baguette


Spray inside of small slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.  Mix all ingredients except bread in cooker.  Cover and cook on low 2-3 hours until cream cheese is melted.  Stir until cheese in smooth.  Scrape side of cooker with rubber spatula to prevent scorching.  Serve with bread slices  Spread will hold on low heat up to 1 hour.  Stir occationally. 


Each serving is 2 Tbsp spread and 2 bread slices
Makes 24 servings at 2 pts per serving


To make it Core:  Eat the spread on vegetables or use 1 pt from your weekly allowance for the bread.
