Well, not only could it have been worse...it SHOULD have been, because..well...I guess that I was pretty good this past week, unless you count the potato chips...and the bread...and the things I forgot to write down in my points tracker. Those little WPA add up, especially when you forget to write them down. OK..I admit, I was downright naughty!
So...I maintained my weight...lost/gained 0! To me, that's quite an accomplishment. I havn't gained any over the holidays...in fact, I've lost overall so I consider this a successful holiday season. The goodies are out of the house, my pantry and fridge are stocked with low point, healthy foods and I'm ready to go for the new year!!!
Next week I'm aiming for a big loss. I bought a new digital scale with a memory (wasn't THAT a masochistic thing to do...) so I can keep myself in line by tracking my progress.
Lets all have a great week! Love, Colette

Thanks ladies! I got a new scale and it's frutrating me! I was so good yesterday and it's not moving...lol...obviously the scale is defective But, I'm armed and ready for the new year....
Keeping the scale in the kitchen is a great idea Kim...I should do that. Only problem is that it's digital and my two fat cats (Jinxy and Gunther) love to sit on scales...I'm afraid they'll run the battery down...lol...they each weigh about 15 lbs...and it's a wide scale...perfect for their big, furry rear ends!
I was going to start walking today but my son is home sick. I think he's well enough though that I could go for a short walk up and down the street. We'll see. That would get my metabolism jump started. I'm thinking of taking some of my Christmas money and going to the thrift shop to buy a bike...I used to love bike riding, and that's something my son and I can do together!
My hubby is helping me...he's eating up everything naughty (he had some chips stashed that I didn't know about...).
Love you, have a great week! Colette

I started the Pilates DVDs the girls gave me for Christmas. Christy is wanting to do them with me. Matter of fact both girls did the flexibility one with me last night. It really is helping me relax at night...even though I didn't know how the first time I did it!!! Then esp. last night when Christy said...Mom this is just basic modern (dance) stuff! I about hit her!!!!! I reminded her that mom doesn't take dance! I must let you know, too, that the child is in her 6th yr of dance and can do the splits with a few minutes of stretching out. Maybe doing this with her will help motivate me more!

LOL!!! Don't feel bad Chelle...Sam just got done showing me how he can put his foot behind his head! Aren't kids amazing? And don't they make us feel....old? Mine does...
Keep up the good work, I envy your dedication. I priced bikes at the thrift store today...they wanted $20 for a relatively new one but it had racing handlebars...and a high seat...assuming that I could get up on the thing (I'm only 5'!") it would kill my back. There was a beaten up old red one with regular handlebars and it wasn't quite as high, but they wanted $39 for it!
When I asked the manager why the price difference she informed me that it was an "antique". At this point I informed her that #1...to sell anything as an "antique" the item must be at least 100 years old and that #2...it wasn't that old because I had one just like it as a kid in the 1970's! She didn't come down in the price...but everything is on sale tomorrow -20%, so we might drop by and get it.
Oh well, guess an "antique" bike will get my "antique buttocks" in gear! (the manager was maybe 25 years old!) Young whippersnapper! LOL...
Have a great weekend. We're going to see a movie! Love ya, Colette

No, I didn't get the bike. I decided to look around this week. I asked for Friday and next Monday off for vacation days (Sam has off from school) so, I might go and look around then. I realized that I can always lower the seat , do't know why I didn't think of that sooner.
Anyway, the older one I was thinking of isn't built to lower the seat (and it's still a little tall for me). I'd be afraid that I would be too heavy for it, it might break if there is any unseen rust. Can't wait til I'm thin enough that I don't have to worry about that kind of thing. LOL!
Have a great week...Love, Colette
