I will actually be home long enough to cook!!!  Yea!!!  So we are trying some new recipes!!!


Tonight we are having our "son" over for dinner.  We were suppose to have him last weekend(last Friday was his bd), but with Andi Beth's surery we had to postphone it.  I am going to make Coe's Chicken Enchilada Casserole and for dessert David has requested Easy Atlanta Peach Cobbler . 


Then for tomorrow night, Stuffed Shells.


I have really been wanting to try these recipes...so this weekend I am going to!!!!  The frozen dinners are good, but when that is what you normally have....cooking is actually nice.  My poor kids have almost forgotten what homemade food is!!!!   Of course I do make Coe's Pumpkin Spice cupcakes on a regular basis!!!!  YUM!!!!!

OOOH...you're making me nervous, serving one of my recipes to company! Hope you all have a great time with your "son". Teddy called me tonight and we had a good long talk...with me and Teddy on the phone it was more like a good long laugh! She is awesome! We had so much fun and she really lifted my spirits.

Oh honey....it was a big hit!!!!  I'm going to reviews to post my culinary deeds this weekend in a minute!


Didja hear that I almost burned the house down?  David asked for green beans with dinner.  I use the Allen's and they have to cook awhile.  I put them on high and went to get the clothes out of the dryer.  I meant to turn them on simmer when I passed back by the kitchen....and forgot them!!!!  I scorched my pan....my house still smells like smoke!!!!!


Thank God for his angels!!!!


Glad you and Teddy had such a nice visit!!!  She is a trip!!!!!

Whew!!! I'm glad it was a hit! Sometimes when I come up with a recipe that I like...others might not. I made that same recipe on Friday and Larry likes it alot...there is none left!

I did hear that you almost had a catastrophe...I do that on at least a monthly basis...getting a little senile I think! I really shouldn't be allowed around the stove anymore So, you aren't alone sweetie (though you still are a spring chicken...)

I had a bit of a rough weekend too...went up on Alfabet Soup and posted a prayer request. I don't know if it was the menopause or I'm just weak (maybe both) but I went berzerk with the eating, especially yesterday. The scale says I gained 4 pounds since Friday!

If it's true, I deserve it! The emotional eating is my downfall. I am back on the wagon today though...got all the naughty food out of the house, bought a bunch of fruit this morning and made a double batch of Crustless Pumpkin Pie. I'll be taking extra long walks today and Tuesday and drinking double the water! I may have a gain on Wednesday...but if I have anything to say about it it won't be 4 lbs or more!!!

Hope your week goes better than our weekends went...At least I got to talk to Teddy and Cassi this weekend...that was the best! I'm gonna have to call and pester you someday! Love you girl! Coe

Call away!!!!  If you can catch me at home!!!!  Weekends seem to slow down...some!!! 


This has been a rough weekend for me as well.  I'm suppose to start any day now...and my hunger has gone crazy!!!!  I am trying not to go run to the kitchen now and pig out.  David is closing the store in about 5 minutes and I can start dinner then....weigh in tomorrow....I can't afford to overdo tonight....but ohhhhh I wanna!!!
