*My leader, Jan, gave us this recipe in class and it's fantastic! It's so nice to come home and smell this casserole cooking...and know that dinner is ready for you. Your family won't know it's a Weight Watcher's recipe. Sometimes I use 95% lean ground beef instead of turkey, but both ways are delicious. I really hope you try this! Colette
*It is VERY important to spray the top layer with cooking spray. The fat free cheese will become hard and inedible if you don't.
1 8oz Box Whole Wheat Lasagne Noodles, uncooked 1 lb 93% lean ground turkey, cooked and drained* 1 tsp Italian Seasoning 1 26 oz can Hunt's garlic and herb spaghetti sauce 1/2 cup water 1 16 oz carton fat free cottage cheese 8 oz fat free shredded mozzerella cheese
Spray crockpot with cooking spray. Break noodles, place half in bottom of crockpot. Combine cooked turkey and italian seasoning; spread half over noodles. Combine spaghetti sauce and water; spread half over turkey layer. Spread half of the cottage cheese over the sauce layer and spriknle half the mozzarella cheese over that. Repeat layers. Spray the top layer of cheese with cooking spray to keep it soft and help it melt* Cover, cook on low for 5 hours. Serves 6 at
