I think I have hit my first leveling

So I found my Dr Phil weight loss solutions and I really figured out the  points for his Stage one and it's just 24-26 poinds a day. So I am going to try that for the next two weeks or until I break though again.  See Menu for what I am eating

We all hit the wall eventually...and you've been losing well. I havn't looked at Dr. Phil's but it's probably a good plan too.

You'll do great! Keep up the good work girl...you're doing it!

Blessings, Colette

Just a thought...I noticed on your last menus that you posted you are only eating 23 or so points.  That will slow and even stop your weigh loss if you are not eating all your daily points.  Skimping on points does not help you lose weight faster.  It makes your body think you are going in to starvation mode and holds on to the fat.

I have been short on points occationally, but try not to do it.  I know I was short on points Monday, but was sick.  Try eating all your points and see what that does.  Just a suggestion.

AnnaLee...Chelle is 100% right. I didnt notice it but that is sooooo true! You should be eating more points...what is your points target? I know it's got to be more than 23 or 24 because mine is 28!

Our bodies need fuel in order to burn fat (sounds funny but that's how it works) If we eat below our points targets then our body thinks it's starving and goes into survival mode. So, my humble advice is to enjoy your points and see what happens. The WW program works when we work the program correctly!

Have a good day! Colette

the past two weeks, I have been adding snacks here and there, and I switched to 2% milk to hlep get my points up to 28. I after I woke up from sleeping my 4 hours. (Yeah that is part too, I go see the dr tomorrow about getting something to help me sleep longer and deeper since Joel is now attending all day preschool and I can devote 7 hours to sleep during the day)  I weighed myself after I got out of the shower, dried off and just in my birthday suit, I gained 5 pounds! I don't want to gain, I want loss. I don't want to weight 250 ever again.

Don't beat yourself up about weight gain.  I know it is hard not to (I have been doing it for a month now), but all it does is discourage you.  I am also learning not to weigh myself everyday.  That is a HARD one for me.  But water weight can make you go up and down so easy on the day to day basis.

Has your group talked about anchors yet?  Basically it is having something in mind.  Whether it is a outfit you want to wear, that next goal, etc. something to help you visualize what you are working toward so when you have those rough times.  Hope that helps.

I do have non food goals in mind. I told me myself that when I lost the frist 15 pounds I could get my nails done. I hit that two weeks ago and we never seem to have the extra 24 dollars to go to the nail salon.  At 20 pounds I get my hair cut and a new style,  25, a new outfit.  It never seems we have the money.  Something always comes up

My prayers are going up for you!!

Maybe in place of that while you are waiting, could you buy a new nail polish....a color you've always wanted, but may have thought it was too daring or something.  Then maybe for the haircut, a new shampoo, or brush, or clip.  Then if you can't do the outfit (try thrift stores...Coe has done awesome at them!), get an accessory like earrings or something like that.  Not trying to discourage you, but give you some options until you can do those things.

Great ideas Chelle.

I have become a thrift shop evangelist ladies! I got a whole new outfit for $4 yesterday! Now I can afford that...but now what it probably cost originally! Thrift shops rock!

The nail polish is a great idea! It's funny you mentioned getting your nails done AnnaLee...I've been thinking about getting tips put on my nails and a french manicure. I will set that as my anchor for reaching -70 lbs.

Confession time..I've been off program for about a week! I just can't seem to stick to Core while Dh is on Flex...so I end up eating bread twice a day (or more) and then figure...what the heck I ruined it for the day and then Nellie Bar the Door!

So, I'm back on Flex. I'm going to be hoisting my hiney back up on the wagon (yet again :blush) and moving forward. I can't fix what I did yesterday (or the previous week) that is gone and out of my control but I can fix what I do today and tomorrow and the next day. Moving forward and not looking back!

You all have a great day! Love ya, Colette
