Everyone sure has been quiet here. So I thought we might share what we are doing for Christmas.
This past weekend we had my hubby's big family party...the one with the aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. This coming weekend we have our church program (which yours truly is in charge of...the kids anyway) and my in-laws and our nephew are coming up. My nephew is living with them and is planning on starting college next month. It is the college my in-laws food service is at. So he is coming with them. They will come on Saturday evening and we will do Christmas with them and they will come to church with us the next day.
I also have my oldest's bd Friday, so she is having 2 friends come over and spend the night. The next day they are going to a local beauty school and getting to pick 2 of the following 3 to have done....a manicure, a pedicure, or an up-do. We will be having family pics made after that and then dress rehearsal for Sunday.
Fortunately next week will just be faculty and staff (mainly staff) so we will be closing at 2...but will be doing inventory and cleaning. I will also use some of that time to finish shopping. Christmas Eve we are having communion at church that morning. We always spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at our home. Later Christmas Day we will head to my parents house and do Christmas with them.
The day after Christmas, we will be heading to Atlanta for the week. This is the only week out of the year we are closed so we make the most of it. We will come back to my parents on the 30th and head back home the 1st. Then back to work the 2nd.
What are your plans?

Wow...it sounds like a full holiday for you Chelle!
I am hoping that I will have Friday the 22nd off...or at least only stay for part of the night. Usually we just go in on the last business day before Christmas...exchange presents...eat and then go home early. There isn't too much to do because they try to clean out the lab before Christmas.
DH and I will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary on the 20th...but since I have to work we are going out to dinner on Sat the 23rd. My sister in law Jeannie is going to sit with Sam and we are going either to George Brett's (the baseball player) restaurant on the Plaza or we are going to another KC landmark...The Hereford House. I am in the mood for steak...and both places have great steaks so I win either way.
I will go to the Christmas Eve service at church but since Larry and Sam are coming down with colds we'll have to see how they are feelingl Maybe my sister in law will go with me.
Christmas day is church! We'll have to open presents early so we can go to Jesus' birthday party at Sunday School. It will be fun. We're looking for a pinata and there will be cake and gifts for the children. Then...church. We'll go home and DH is smoking a big ham. Jeannie will come over and we'll probably spend the day eating and watching old movies (The Bishops Wife, It's a Wonderful Life...Holiday Inn...White Christmas).
I will have Monday and I think Tuesday off from work...then another day off after New Year. It will be nice to have some rest.
I'm almost finished with my gifts. Just have to get two more and then goodies for the stockings and gift bags for the teachers and kids at church.
Hope everyone has a blessed holiday! Love you, Colette

We are going to have a pretty low-key Christmas this year & I am really glad for that :) We are going to my parent son Christmas Eve Day. They live a little over an hour away. We'll eat & exchange presents.
Christmas Day it will just be me, my husband & the 2 kids. I am going to make a ham and we are just going to hang out at home. We're homebodies anyways so I'm happy about that :)
All of my husband's family lives back east & mine is spread out in CA now so we won't be too busy
